Domain Research Tools¶
Summary¶
The Domain Research Tools project explores a repeatable way to find, evaluate, and organize domain name ideas.
The project is less about buying random domains and more about building a structured review process for availability, naming quality, use case fit, and decision-making.
Problem¶
Domain research can become scattered across browser tabs, notes, availability checkers, pricing pages, and half-formed ideas.
A better workflow keeps the evaluation consistent so ideas can be compared instead of guessed at.
Approach¶
The workflow is designed around repeatable evaluation:
- Capture domain ideas.
- Check availability.
- Review naming quality.
- Consider use case and audience.
- Track pricing or acquisition notes.
- Compare options using consistent criteria.
- Keep the strongest candidates organized.
Tools and Concepts¶
- Web app planning
- Domain research workflow
- Data organization
- Scoring concepts
- Product thinking
- Lightweight tooling
- Decision support
What This Demonstrates¶
- Product workflow thinking
- Repeatable evaluation design
- Data organization
- Lightweight tool planning
- Research process improvement
- Ability to turn a messy manual process into a structured workflow
Outcome¶
This project demonstrates how I approach research-heavy workflows: create a structure, reduce decision fatigue, and make comparisons easier.
